Maybe your first life-information index
也许是你的第一份人生信息索引- A flight from Turkey back to Dubai had to turn around because of fighting in the region, and for the first time an accident felt that close. That’s why I built my second indie product, AllGood · 好好的: an index of information for your family.
- We rarely learn how a life is wrapped up, what needs recording and handing over, and we rarely have the motivation or the occasion to do something this important but not urgent. Those “rarely”s are why it exists.
- Yes, this is promotion. But even if you never use the product, I sincerely suggest spending a few minutes thinking about how to live well, and how to take your final bow well.
Hi,
Hope this finds you well.
I just finished listening, on and off, to the three-plus-hour conversation between Luo Yonghao and Kevin Tsai (has content length become polarized now?). Along the way they mentioned how unwilling we are to talk about “death,” which happens to be the topic I want to put on the table today.
Have you thought about it? Thought about whether we’d be ready if, one day, something arrives before “tomorrow” does…
I’m not sure why we so rarely talk about it. I used to think the “end” was far away too. Is it really that in our twenties and thirties, life feels as if it has no end?
I had never thought about a “will” until one flight from Turkey back to Dubai. Because of sudden fighting, the airspace along the route was closed and the plane was forced to turn back. When I followed the bewildered crowd off the plane and found myself back where I’d started a few hours earlier, in that chaotic airport, for the first time an accident felt so close. And only one thing filled my mind:
If that had really happened, I hadn’t even left my mom and dad any instructions…
That’s how this product started. It’s an index of information for your family, a record covering money, documents, key information, finances and so on. It’s my second indie product, and the thing I wished I had already done back then.
We rarely do our homework on how a life is wrapped up, what needs to be recorded and handed over, and where our family should start with the loose ends afterwards.
We rarely have the motivation to spend time and energy on something this important but not urgent; maybe we avoid it a little, too.
We even rarely have an occasion to start getting things in order
Those “rarely”s are the reason AllGood · 好好的 exists, and what it means.
No point dressing it up: this is of course promotional. But even setting aside any interest of mine, I sincerely suggest giving yourself a few minutes to think about this. Maybe you don’t need this product, but you deserve to think more deliberately about how to live well, and how to take your final bow well.
